Sunday Roll Call

Happy early afternoon and Happy Palm Sunday. Man, we had a fantastic service at church yesterday as we had a group in from Christ Tabernical, Queens New York. Man, (again) they can sing and pray! Dave and I have listened to the service again 2 more times live on the internet. The whole service has been about prayer and the power of prayer. More in a moment. I got home about 2 hours ago from seeing Jim - he looks, sounds all the way around fantastic. He can whisper out words through the trach and seems in good spirits. Now, the power of prayer - your prayers have been answered. He is doing well, in a room on the medical floor and soon the plans will be to transfer him to the rehap center across from the hospital. His mind was clear and he engaged in conversation with me about his grandkids pictures on the wall, Dave and me going to FL in two weeks and my sister Mary coming up to visit while we are gone. She will probably stay at my house while we are gone. Thank you from the bottom of my family's heart, BUT keep them (prayrers) coming because he is not totally out of the woods. From the family's understanding rehab is tough on the patient and they have one and only one objective and that is to send the person home, fast. They work them hard and the family can only visit during mealtimes. One of the things Jim whispered out to me was that he said his lung collapsed again and they are doing a bronc. on him Monday. While I was there his oxygen levels were stable and he was not on a vent. I have my kitchen cleraned and am moving onto another room in the house before I sit down for the day and surf on the internet. Christine

Good Day Illinois! Hit the Y this morning, went to SuperTarget, had a friend stop over, and now I've got my corned beef going for dinner tonight...yumm!  Just decided on Friday night, while talking to a friend, that we're going to pull a Thelma and Louise and drive to Florida this coming Friday for spring break!  I had to cancel the trip my husband and I planned because of the dog's surgery.  Well, everything just fell into place and my girlfriend and I are leaving the husbands at home and heading south!  Woohoo!  I'm so ready for warmth and sunshine.  Have a great week everyone!

I am scrubbing my kitchen, bathroom and pantry down today. I am on spring break this week from the bus and decided to get as much done as I can before going back to work. Right now I am taking a break with a cup of coffee. I think I might take a quick run into Peoria. Our local Menards is preparing to move into their new store and things are 40% off so thought I would go take a look. Let ya all know if I get a really good deal!!!!!!!! Karen

Hi Christina and all, Nothing much going on here at all. I worked all day cutting hair. Last night around 10pm Carl and I had a mishap with our car. We blew a tire on I-75 comming home from Naples Florida. All is well noone was hurt. I have a new tire on my car and I am 120.00 poorer. Hope all is well. Carla
